About me
There are many great professional wildlife, nature and landscape photographers out there. However, I am by no means a professional photographer. At best I am an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for photography.
Inspiration
I am mostly inspired by different painting genres and techniques. Genres such as Impressionism (Monet, Renoir, Pissarro) and German Romanticism (Caspar David Friedrich). In my photographs you will find references to painting techniques such as repoussoir and clair-obscur. This is essentially just a fancy way of saying that I like to have objects in the foreground to create a little perspective.
I would describe my own work as ‘postcard cliché‘.
